Featured Rescue: Roscoe
Roscoe is about six years old, and he’s been with ARF for about six months. Why? He’s the perfect dog!
But Roscoe has heartworms. And heartworm treatment means six months of inactivity while he’s receiving various injections and antibiotics to kill the heartworms. Roscoe has been great about being crated most of the day to avoid any exercise that would result in pulmonary embolisms (heartworms affect the lungs as much as the heart).
Roscoe is the perfect pet! He’s housebroken and good with every dog he’s’ met. He is happy to lounge around, and he’s happy to wrestle all day long with his buddies.
Roscoe is still testing positive, so fingers crossed his treatment keeps working so he can get out of his crate and into a loving home.
